NTM New Tribes Mission

NTM coordinates missionaries, sent by local churches, to take the Gospel to tribal people. Missionaries then plant churches. They disciple believers, translate the Scriptures, and train teachers and leaders, who in turn reach out to their own people and to neighboring tribes.

Indonesia looms as one of the greatest opportunities for cross-cultural church planting in the world. We (NTM) have open invitations from many of the country’s unreached people groups to come and minister among them. Our prayer is that God will continue to raise up laborers from Indonesia and worldwide to join in this great harvest of souls. Surveys are being conducted to determine open doors.

Melissa is currently serving on the island of Papua as the NTM Wamena guest house host, providing a guest house and supply center in the town of Wamena. NTM will be working with other missionaries and mission organizations to create a more central and more economical supply location for Missionaries already in tribal locations on the island. She will continue ministering in a support role to missionaries currently in tribal settings, as their Supply Buyer. She is the finance person for NTM Papua and as the Lord leads by being more directly involved in tribal church planting in a tribe and by sharing God’s love personally.
